Our Challenges
SPONSORS

Club was historically losing company sponsors each year to unknown causes

BUDGET

Limited sources of income with rapid expenses causing a financial deficit

MEMBERS

Low club retention and engagement as the school year progressed

EVENTS

Lack of an advertising model had members struggling to keep track of upcoming events.

Our Solutions
Merchandise
  • Established merchandise after conducting market research across 400+ students to provide a revenue source to our organization to offset club expenses.
  • Coordinated with international vendor to import 800+ custom-manufactured beaker mugs to sell to student population.
  • Rebranded inventory of past club shirts as "Legacy Merch" and sold at a discount during events.
  • Created stickers with club logo and gave to each member for them to display generating free publicity. Custom theme stickers were sold seperately.
  • In total generated $8,000 in revenue. Funds were used towards club events, Chem-E-Car funding, and outreach.
Branding and Advertising
  • Rebranded speaker and career developmental events as "Chem-E Talks" to provide a centralized memorable theme.
  • Hosted Chem-E Talks on a bi-weekly basis at the same time and weekday. Determined weekday by evaluating student's schedules to find the most accesible time.
  • Worked with publicist to send out graphical flyers themed accordingly for each event. Posted flyers on Instagram, Facebook, and emails leading up to event.
  • In addition, weekly flyers having the event's for the week were made available on our website and sent out in an email every Sunday.
  • Established texting service to provide members with day- and hour-before alerts to provide ease and clarity in finding upcoming events.
